Tour details

Paestum was most likely one of the largest Greek cities on the Tyrrhenian Cost in Magna Grecia. After its foundation by Greek colonists with the name of Poseidonia, it was later conquered by the Lucanians and then by the Romans. Paestum excavations are known for their three Greek ancient temples, that still today are in an excellent state of conservation.

At the end of the tour, we’ll be visiting the Farm with one of the members of the factory to assist to the daily production of the mozzarella, the stable where the most advanced milking techniques are used to safeguard animals health, hygiene and quality of the milk.

We’ll be visiting the leather goods shop and the museum with tools and equipment from various periods. A testing of the best buffalo mozzarella will follow.
